New white paperTracing Every Tonne · v1.81

Advitia Labs: tracing every tonne of waste, from processing and sorting to reclaiming land and alternate fuel.

Verifiable waste accounting that turns every tonne into audited climate value.

ADEX records every custody transfer of waste with weight, evidence and approval, enforces site-level mass balance, and opens the full record to auditors. On that record, a marketplace matches quality-verified fuel with cement kilns, power stations and industrial boilers to replace coal.

123 sites. 12 million MT measured.

ADEX runs in production with a public-sector waste operator. Every tonne of municipal solid waste is weighed in, screened and disposed of fraction by fraction, with the record reconciled end to end. More than 400 acres of land have been reclaimed so far.

Methane avoided ≈ 192KMT CH4 Residual methane that 12M MT of legacy waste would have released in place.
GHG remediated ≈ 5.5MMT CO2e 5.38M from methane avoided, plus 0.18M from coal displaced by RDF in cement kilns.
How we calculate IPCC 2006 mass-balance: CH4 = MSW × MCF 0.8 × DOC 0.06 (aged waste) × DOCf 0.5 × F 0.5 × 16/12. CO2e at GWP 28 (IPCC AR5). RDF: 0.5 MT coal displaced per MT, 2.4 MT CO2 per MT coal. Conservative estimate pending third-party verification.
01The verification gap

Once waste is collected, it leaves no record.

Waste passes through collectors, transporters, processors, recyclers and fuel buyers, each keeping separate records. Weight is measured at the gate, then the material leaves the record. The abatement technologies exist. The evidence that they were applied does not.

38%

of the world's municipal solid waste, 810 Mt, was dumped or openly burned in 2020.

3.8 bn t

of municipal waste a year by 2050, up from 2.1 billion tonnes in 2023.

~20%

of human-made methane (71 Mt) comes from waste, mostly landfills. Methane is the second-largest driver of warming after CO2.

<10%

of cement kiln fuel is alternative fuel today, against an industry target of 22% by 2030. European plants average about 52%.

Authoritiescannot confirm the outcome of processing contracts.
Industrial buyerscannot rely on the quality of waste-derived fuel.
Carbon and EPR marketscannot accept claims they cannot audit.

02ADEX

One ledger. Two jobs.

ADEX cleans up the landfills of the past and runs the household waste of today on the same event ledger, from the first truck to the final destination. Choose one to see how it works.

03Event records

Every movement is an event. Nothing is overwritten.

ADEX records each movement or treatment of waste as one event: which batch, how much it weighed, who handed it to whom and when, the evidence, and who approved it. Events that share a batch form a chain from collection to final destination. Corrections are appended as new events that reference the original.

04Mass balance

In must equal out.

For every site and period, ADEX checks that the weight that came in equals the products, residues, moisture change and documented process loss that went out, within a set tolerance. Any gap is flagged for investigation before it becomes a dispute.

05Live audit layer

Auditors see what we see, as it happens.

External carbon-credit auditors get read-only access to the ADEX dashboard, including live camera feeds from weighbridges, processing lines and fuel dispatch points. Nothing has to be taken on trust.

06Alternative-fuel marketplace

Replace coal with verified fuel.

The marketplace exists first to cut emissions; the economic value follows from verified reductions. It matches quality-verified refuse-derived fuel (RDF) with cement kilns, coal-fired power stations and industrial boilers, and ranks every transaction by its verified carbon saving.

1List

A processor lists an RDF batch with its full ADEX history and laboratory results: calorific value, moisture, chlorine, ash and sulphur.

2Match

Cement plants, power stations and other industrial consumers state their fuel requirements. Every match shows its expected carbon saving.

3Prove

Weighbridge confirmation and buyer acceptance close the deal, and ADEX computes the coal displaced and the CO2 avoided against a declared baseline.

~8%of global CO2 comes from cement, roughly 40% of it from burning fuel in kilns.
⅓of the world's electricity still came from coal in 2025: 10,476 TWh.
~100 Mtof CO2 a year could be avoided if global cement kilns reached 22% alternative fuel (order-of-magnitude estimate).
Conservative by design.Plastic-derived RDF is not carbon neutral, so its fossil carbon is counted against the coal it displaces. Boilers tolerate lower RDF shares than kilns because of chlorine and ash, so substitution limits are set per consumer.
07Business model

Four ways every site makes money.

Fuel, carbon and producer-responsibility markets all pay for evidenced outcomes, which is exactly what ADEX records. The same tonne earns as software, as recovered material, as alternative fuel, and as verified climate impact.

AADEX platform fee

A per-site subscription for the event ledger, weighbridge and camera integration, mass balance and live audit, paid by the municipality or operator.

Recurring · per site, per month
BRecovered material

A share of sales of recyclables, metals, compost and soil, matched to recyclers and offtakers through ADEX.

Volume-linked · per metric tonne
CRDF as alternative fuel

The RDF our sites generate is supplied as AFR to cement kilns, power stations and industrial boilers, replacing coal, with every batch's quality and origin proven in ADEX.

Fuel sales · per metric tonne of RDF
DCarbon and EPR credits

A take rate on credits backed by verified disposal records: methane avoided and coal displaced for carbon buyers, plastic recovered for EPR-obligated producers. Credits are issued only by the relevant registries and authorities.

08Why now

The money is there. The evidence isn't. Yet.

Landfills are now visible from space.Satellite monitoring attributes some of the world's largest methane sources to landfills. Waste-sector measures could cut 13 Mt of methane a year by 2030.
Cement needs fuel that isn't coal.Kilns run below 10% alternative fuel against a 22% target for 2030. Buyers will take waste-derived fuel only if its quality and origin are proven.
Proof is becoming mandatory.Extended producer responsibility rules require evidence of recovery, not promises. The EPR market is set to double to $14 billion by 2032.
Credits need audited tonnes.Carbon and EPR markets reject claims they cannot audit. Most waste sites still run on paper and spreadsheets.
Waste is outgrowing the system.Municipal waste is on track to rise from 2.1 to 3.8 billion tonnes a year by 2050. Every extra tonne needs a record.
