Privacy policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
This policy explains what advitiaum.com collects about visitors, why, how long it is kept, who processes it for us, and how to ask us to see or delete it. It covers this website only. Data handled inside the ADEX platform for our clients is governed by our contracts with those clients.
1. Who we are
advitiaum.com is run by Advitia Labs ("we", "us"). For anything in this policy, including requests about your data, write to wecare@advitiaum.com. That address also reaches the person responsible for handling grievances about personal data.
2. What we collect
When you visit the site
- Approximate location (city, region, country) and the name of your network or internet provider, worked out from your IP address. For page visits and contact messages we shorten the IP address before storing it (we drop the last part: the last number of an IPv4 address, everything after the first 48 bits of an IPv6 address).
- Device details: device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language and time zone.
- How you arrived: the referring page, any campaign tags in the link (utm_*), and any link tag we put in links we share (?r=).
- How you used the page: time on page, how far you scrolled, which sections you reached and which buttons or links you clicked.
- A random visitor ID kept in your browser's local storage, so repeat visits from the same browser can be counted. It contains nothing about you. See Cookies and local storage.
We do not collect this when your browser looks like an automated client (crawlers, link previews, test tools).
When you use the white paper popup or open the white paper
When you choose an option in the white paper popup (read, download, skip or close), and whenever the white paper PDF is opened or downloaded, we record your full IP address, together with the approximate location, network, device, the page that sent you and the time. We use this to understand which organisations read our research. The popup says so before you choose.
When you send the contact form
Your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message, along with the same shortened-IP visit details as above. We send you one automatic confirmation email.
When you use the translate menu
If you pick a language, your browser loads Google's translation service and sends it the page text. Google processes it under Google's privacy policy. If you never pick a language, nothing is sent to Google for translation.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your message and follow up on a pilot or partnership you asked about.
- To understand how many people visit, from where, and which content they find useful.
- To know which organisations read our white paper.
- To keep the site secure: rate limits, spam filtering and abuse prevention.
We rely on your consent where you give it (sending the form, choosing an option in the white paper popup) and on our legitimate interest in running and improving a business website for the rest. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles to make automated decisions about you.
4. Who processes it for us
- Google Cloud (App Engine): hosts the site and keeps server logs.
- Google Workspace (Sheets, Apps Script, Gmail): stores visit, white paper and contact records and sends the related emails.
- ipinfo.io: looks up the network name for an IP address.
- Google Translate: only if you use the translate menu.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and India.
5. How long we keep it
- Visit records and white paper records (including full IP addresses): 12 months, then deleted automatically.
- Contact messages: for as long as the conversation or business relationship lasts, and then for as long as the law requires us to keep business correspondence.
- Server logs: under Google Cloud's standard log retention.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws such as California's), you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it, or delete it;
- stop using it for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you gave;
- name someone to exercise these rights for you.
Write to wecare@advitiaum.com. Your IP address, or the email address you used in the form, helps us find your records. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live, for example the Data Protection Board of India or your EU/UK supervisory authority.
To stop the visitor ID, clear this site's data in your browser, or use a private window.
7. Children
This site is meant for businesses and public bodies, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Access to our records is limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
9. Changes
When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we say so on the site.
